In UniKL, the general passing grade for most subjects is a Grade D or above, but for core/compulsory subjects (Mata Pelajaran Umum), a Grade C is typically required. However, specific programs or professional bodies can set different passing requirements, so it’s crucial to check your specific program’s handbook for exact grades, especially for Dean’s List criteria which often require 70% (Grade C/3.33 points) or higher

Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) is considered a private university but is wholly owned by a government agency, Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), making it a “semi-government” or government-linked institution focused on technical education. It operates like a private entity with its own campuses and programs but receives its mandate and ownership from a federal body, MARA Corporation, under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development.

You can pay UniKL fees mainly through online banking using JomPAY or CIMB Clicks, finding your specific institution’s biller code (like 12518 for MICET) and using your Student ID/Invoice Number for details, then verifying with a TAC, or by direct bank transfer to the specified UniKL account (e.g., CIMB) for certain payments, always keeping proof of payment for submission.

Tuition Fee Loans are paid directly to your university or college. Maintenance Loans are paid into your bank account. Any loan you borrow needs to be paid back, but not until you’ve finished or left your course, and you earn over a certain amount.
